NEURODIVERSITY PANEL Hosted by USC WITH THERAPIST FROM CHINA MAY 16 & 17

The USC Institute for Genetic Medicine Art Gallery in collaboration with the ENCOUNTER network of networks hosts a week of activities in sites around Los Angeles featuring honored guest, ChunHong Wang, Founder of the Beijing Creative Art Therapy Academy.  Slides of her work with the students are in the slide show at right.  These fans will be on exhibition at the IGM Art Gallery on May 17

Local artists, therapists and film makers including: David Sonnenschein, Keri Bowers, Chantal Sicile-Kira, Katherine Yu and  Debra Muzikar will present their missions, theories and programs at education and health care centers with Wang ChunHong, who combines oriental medicine with art, sound, and movement.

The schedule thus far is:

May 12 – Lincoln High School auditorium Screening of Monarex Hollywood Corp, film, Yangzhou: A City of Timeless Culture, and Panel Discussion from 11:30 – 1:30.  Panelists and community leaders will discuss the event outcomes and next steps immediately following the departure of the student audience at 1:15.

May 17 – Reception for Bionics: The Elements and Social Order at USC Institute for Genetic Medicine Art Gallery.  Bionics artists, Ruben Zavela, Patrick Giles, Mary Duda, Marcus Maria Jung and Raymond Carrillo engaged guests in conversation.  Local therapists and film makers shared insights with ChunHong moderated by Debra Musikar.  Professional Opera Vocalist and Pianist, Suzanna Iglidan performed, courtesy Branch Productions.  CLICK to see Chunhong’s work with students in Charlotte, North Carolina.
